Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking dedicated Class A Transfer Drivers to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a Transfer Driver, you will operate heavy-duty trucks with large trailers to transport materials related to waste, recycling, and demolition from transfer stations to landfills. Safety and adherence to traffic rules and regulations are paramount in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport materials to various destinations, prioritizing safety and compliance with traffic laws.
• Accurately fill out paperwork, including daily trip reports, vehicle condition reports, and customer work order tickets.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with safety regulations, OSHA, DOT requirements, and all local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checks using standard DVIR.
• Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notify the Operations Manager and Safety Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Report service interruptions, such as blocked containers or potential safety hazards, to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills:

• Valid Class A driver's license.
• Ability to haul 40’ to 53’ trailers.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding maps/GPS.
• Capability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
• Experience driving trucks with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

• Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Some travel required.
